A Pew study came out today that 2/3rds of the mainstream media coverage of John McCain is negative, compared to 1/3rd for Barack Obama. Think there’s a double standard? Why isn’t the media reporting on the mutilation of a McCain campaign worker by an Obama supporter, when it so viciously spread the rumor (which Secret Service agents proved was false) that someone at a McCain rally shouted “Kill him” with respect to Obama?
Which have you heard about? I bet you heard about “kill him,” and not about the mutilation of this woman.
Oh, and just in case you thought she might not be telling the truth in order to make Obama’s supporters look bad (or that the mainstream media might play it that way), the mutilator carved a “B” in her cheek for “Barack.” You know, to leave no doubt. 
I’m half-considering wearing a McCain/Palin button when I walk through Harvard Square next week. Just to see if anyone approaches me.

I had someone comment that the MSM isn’t running with it “because” it smells fishy. Well, that one reporter who claimed someone at a McCain rally cried, “Kill him!” broke a huge story that wasn’t checked into at all until way after, when Secret Service agents said there wasn’t evidence it ever happened. Yet this is still a campaign truism, and no one has heard this mutilation story at all.
My question is, if the story had been the other way around, would the MSM have broken it, whether it seemed reasonable or not?
Oh yeah, and if you write a “B” from another angle — like standing over someone’s head when they’re laying on the ground — it’ll look backwards when she stands up. Perspective’s a bitch, eh?
What I want to know is why all these stories of violence against McCain supporters is staying out of the MSM? If a story that’s not even TRUE, that doesn’t even involve ACTUAL VIOLENCE can circulate around the media and become a campaign truism even after it’s been shown to be highly unlikely, why isn’t even ONE of these, some of them clearly demonstrable and not in question, acts of ACTUAL VIOLENCE against McCain supporters being widely reported on?

If you’re considering wearing a pin, just keep in mind not only this story but the angry mobs who turn out in places like NYC – I have some footage of that here. It can get scary depending on where you are, as this woman found out. I wouldn’t advise trying it in Missouri with the Truth Squads about either.
The MSM (unless you count Drudge and the Politico) isn’t running with it because of doubts about veracity. Michelle Malkin is calling b.s. A backwards “B”, like you might do in a mirror? That doesn’t cut the skin? And a “B” for “Barack” when the supporters chant “O-ba-ma”? The smell test hasn’t been passed.
Your troll might want to examine some of these stories that the MSM just doesn’t bother to run with.
You’d have to be either way to the left of Stalin or braindead to deny the media bias that goes on in the MSM. This is the reason alternative media has become so essential, so popular, and so very threatened. Talk radio is going to be the first thing to go under the coming “great society” regime, followed quickly by voices of dissent online, if that’s possible. When the Truth Squads go national, look out.

I’ll bet the farm this is total nonsense and here’s why:
what kind of mugger successfully robs a person and then casually follows them around for a bit? Most attackers run like hell and get out of the area. Does anyone honestly believe he just happened to notice her BUMPER STICKERS and then flew into a rage and then lightly, carefully and precisely scratched a small “B” in into the middle of her cheek WITHOUT breaking the skin? This wound is self-inflicted: it’s too careful and shows signs of repetitive scratching over the same pattern over and over again – slowly. The fact the “B” is backwards fits perfectly though this fact is not necessary to prove my point. Though the police report indicates it was the RIGHT side of her face – so the picture is not flipped! It IS backwards.
And before anyone tries: I was a McCain supporter and I like him a lot – but I have ZERO tolerance for Bull sh it.
Remember this story well people – I’ll bet my right arm it proves to be a hoax. Nothing about it has the ring of truth.
Thanks for the comments, everyone. What a stupid thing if it’s a hoax. I have to say that I’m predisposed to believe people who say they’ve been abused or beat up, but that’s because I’m an abuse victim myself.

It looks like this is a hoax, now.
Apparently there are no videos or stills from security cameras at the ATM where she said she was.
The backwards “B” could have been done upside-down… but why would a violent mugger thrash her good…. and then lightly, daintily, scratch the B in her cheek?
We have enough Obamapaths doing real violence and intimidation to political heretics. We don’t need silly hysterics emulating left-wing victim-poseurs.

Well, now she’s confessed that it’s a hoax (see Drudge, etc.). Sorry your bubble got burst on this one. As you point out, though, there’s always other stories to be aggrieved about.
Calm down, Annie. Nothing Calling All Toasters said marks her as a “troll;” she merely expressed a healthy skepticism about a story that strained credulity, to put it mildly. Blindly believing right-leaning media is no better than blindly believing left-leaning media.
I also think it’s important to separate the handful of unavoidable deranged supporters and their actions from the campaigns themselves.
